Joe’s take on master volume hot rodded Plexi!
50W Marshall style 2203. The Plexi style amp made famous by the first Van Halen record. Eddie would vari-ac the amps down to about 90v dropping the plate voltage to about 400v due to the power supply Marshall used during this era. Joe designed the MV45 from the ground up with that in mind. 400v on the plates makes the EL34’s sound amazing and give this beast that definitive warm growl!
