“The original idea behind Jet Black was to bring the Black Cat’s trademark sound to players who needed more volume. With a second pair of EL-84s doubling its output, common sense suggested it’d be louder and tighter, but no one was quite prepared for the tones the Jet Black would unleash.
Wide open and gloriously unrestrained, the Jet Black packs a visceral gut punch. It feels big yet it’s still agile, responsive and dynamic – you’re in complete control, using nothing more than your pick attack and the volume control on your guitar. An unashamedly joyous amp to play, the Jet Black will have you flashing a wicked sideways grin, every time you plug in.”
This is the first “all new” amplifier from Bad Cat in quite a few years. There have been many updates to the corner stone models of the brand, but this is truly exciting as it’s all new, entirely.
Jet Black has been tested on the road all summer with Tosin Abasi and Animals as Leaders. It’s been in Tim Pierce’s studio and already been used to record a few records. It’s been in the hands of players such as Marc Ford and Ford Thurston as well. The feedback has been unanimous. Jet Black is the best, yet!
